Major General Fayez al-Duwairi, a military and strategic expert, said that the scale of the massive destruction that affected the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern part, is due to the occupation army's use of belts and firewalls.

In his military analysis of Al-Jazeera, al-Duwairi explained that the Israeli army resorted to this policy before its forces advanced on the ground in order to flatten the ground in order to destroy and neutralize the tunnels.

He pointed out that if professional and objective news agencies and media entered the Gaza Strip, "we would have seen many times the destruction and devastation that was seen," and noted that these images must have repercussions and projections in America and Britain in order to force Israel to extend the truce.

He revealed that Tel Aviv did not use bombs offered by America with less destructive capacity, and stressed that its goal was systematic destruction in light of its repeated talk about eliminating the Islamic resistance movement "Hamas", and gave the example of the threat of Israeli Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu to hit Gaza with a nuclear bomb.

He pointed out that these scenes of destruction were only seen in Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II, and stressed that German cities in that era were not destroyed as they did in Gaza.

Temporary Truce

Regarding the temporary humanitarian truce, the military expert believes that some violations have been bypassed and remedied in light of the keenness of all parties to complete and even extend the ceasefire in order to retrieve 100 Israeli prisoners.

He added that the temporary truce and its extension "may open up prospects for a comprehensive ceasefire" between the occupation army and the Palestinian resistance.

He stressed the importance of the humanitarian factor after the enormous scale of destruction that befell the Gaza Strip, as well as breathing and healing wounds and arranging ranks.

The New York Times quoted a US military official as saying that 90% of Israel's bombs on Gaza are guided by satellites, some weighing two thousand pounds.

This information is consistent with statements by Salameh Maarouf, head of the government media office in Gaza, who told Al Jazeera that the Israeli occupation forces dropped 40,<> tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip.
