Former Lyon mayor Gérard Collomb, former interior minister in Macron's first government, "passed away peacefully with his family" on Saturday (November 25th) at the age of 76, his wife Caroline Collomb told AFP on Saturday evening.

Suffering from stomach cancer, "when it became clear that his disease could not be improved by any anti-cancer treatment, he wished to benefit from deep sedation which allowed him to pass away peacefully by his family" at around 21 p.m. on Saturday, she said in a brief message to AFP.
