According to the department on Telegram, a 21-year-old local resident in a Hyundai ix35 car ran over two girls of 9-10 years old, who were crossing the roadway outside the pedestrian crossing zone.
"One of the girls died at the scene from serious injuries," the statement said.
The second girl was hospitalized with injuries. Her condition is assessed as critical.
Earlier, one person died as a result of an accident involving a minivan in the Sverdlovsk region.
