The launching ceremony of the first "Future of Hong Kong" International Science and Technology Innovation Education Forum and the 2023 "Science and China" into the "Science and Technology Innovation Lecture Hall" was held in Hong Kong on the 21st. Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr Yam Wing-wah, President of the Hong Kong Alliance for Science, Technology and Innovation Education, said that academicians and experts came into the classroom to create an interactive learning environment for students, stimulate their curiosity, and lay the foundation for nurturing the next generation of scientists and innovators.

Yang Yuliang, director of the Science Popularization and Education Working Committee of the Faculty of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that science education and popularization of science is an eternal theme of mankind, and the unremitting efforts of generations of scientists are needed for the prosperity of the country and the rejuvenation of the nation. The "Science and China" Academician Expert Tour Group has taken root in Hong Kong, integrated into the cause of science education for young people in Hong Kong, and shines for the cultivation of young talents in Hong Kong.

Nancy Yip, Chairman of the Council of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Academician Alliance and President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, said that Hong Kong has five of the world's top 5 universities, but it is not enough to cultivate I&T talents by universities alone, and STEM education for primary and secondary school students is needed earlier. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Academician Alliance looks forward to strengthening cooperation with the Hong Kong Alliance for Science, Technology and Innovation Education to jointly promote the development of STEM education in Hong Kong.

"Science and China" Academician and Expert Lecture Tour is a high-level public welfare science popularization activity initiated by the Faculty of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The "Science and Technology Innovation Lecture Hall" is an annual event jointly organized by the Hong Kong Alliance for Science, Technology and Innovation Education and the Computer Network Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
