Cameroon: a hundred artists at Domaf, the largest urban music festival in Central Africa

In Cameroon, the "Douala music art festival", the largest festival in Central Africa dedicated to music and so-called urban culture, ends this Sunday, November 19 in Douala. This twelfth edition saw the participation of a hundred artists from Chad, Côte d'Ivoire and Martinique.

Salatiel, who is also a producer propelled to superstardom after his collaboration with Beyonce and Pharell Williams in 2020, shares the bill with artists like Rodzeng from Gabon: "I communed once again with my audience in Douala. Big up to the Gabonese community in Douala who made a huge trip." With his eyes glued to the stage, Tinto, who comes from the Ivory Coast, doesn't miss a thing of the show: "He makes good music, so I like it. It is not for nothing that I came here to Cameroon.

In addition to its very attractive musical line-up, the festival, which is held on five sites in the city of Douala, is also the field of expression for dancers, fashion creators and visual arts. Theme of Sharing

This year's edition is being held around the theme of sharing, as Jean Pierre, the festival's marketing director, explains: "To make a successful festival like this, you need an overall dynamic. It takes a lot of people coming together to be able to do that." After four days, the festival ends this Sunday with a carnival, followed by a great musical evening.
