In March 2024, the film about the dog Arthur and owner Mikael Lindnord will premiere. The film stars Mark Wahlberg and Simu Liu. In the portrayal of the main character Arthur, no less than three dogs are involved, plus computer-generated images.

"I felt from the start, especially that the scenes with Mark Wahlberg and Arthur were incredibly important to get right. I just felt that I wanted to make it as fair as possible," says Mikael Lindnord, who is also the producer of the film.

Met during the World Cup in Ecuador

The film is based on the book "Arthur: the street dog that left the jungle and found his way home", written by Mikael Lindnord and published in 2016.

It was during the World Championships in the rainforest in Ecuador that multisport athlete Mikael Lindnord and his teammates met a disheveled street dog. They threw some meatballs at it and then continued their race. 700 kilometers into the race, the dog, who would later be named Arthur, followed the team and never left their side.

A story that has touched many

The story spread and has touched people all over the world. After the competition ended, Mikael Lindnord decided to take Arthur home to his family in Örnsköldsvik and make him a member of the family.

Arthur died in 2020 but not a day goes by that Mikael or anyone in his family doesn't think of him.

"He's made such a big impression on our family. We don't want to talk about his passing, but more about what his life has meant for us and for many others," says Mikael Lindnord.
