China News Service, Xiamen, November 11 (Reporter Yang Fushan, Liu Yuying) The 16 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership Forum was held in Xiamen, and participants conducted extensive and in-depth discussions on topics such as industrial Internet and digital manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, green and sustainable development, industry-finance cooperation, and energy electronics.
At the forum, the construction of the "China-BRICS New Era Science and Technology Innovation Incubation Park" was launched, and an international, professional and branded incubation platform headquartered in Xiamen and with important influence in the BRICS countries will be initially built within five years.
The signing ceremony of the first batch of projects such as Russia House (Xiamen) Collaborative Innovation Center, Steinbeis (Xiamen) Collaborative Innovation Center of Germany, Singapore Chuangshifeng International Technology Transfer Center, Novosibirsk University (Xiamen) Technology Transfer Center, BRICS Technology Trading Platform and BRICS Intellectual Property Operation Platform were held in the incubation park.
Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, said that China will uphold the BRICS spirit of openness, inclusiveness and win-win cooperation, promote the implementation of the consensus of BRICS leaders, and take the BRICS expansion as an opportunity to further deepen BRICS industrial cooperation and promote the high-quality development of the partnership.
The forum was co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Fujian Provincial People's Government, with the theme of "Deepening Partnership and Cooperation to Promote New Industrialization in BRICS Countries". More than 300 people attended the meeting, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the BRICS Business Council, the Chinese Council for BRICS Think Tank Cooperation, embassies and consulates of relevant countries in China, as well as representatives of international organizations, well-known enterprises and industry associations.
During the forum, a series of activities were held, such as the final of the BRICS Industrial Innovation Competition, the first meeting of the Strategic Advisory Committee of the BRICS Innovation Base, and the 2023 BRICS New Industrial Revolution Technology and Governance Outstanding Talent Training Course.
