Israeli military site targeted by Hezbollah as part of weeks of clashes (European)

Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it launched on Wednesday a series of attacks on Israeli army positions across the border, causing confirmed casualties in its ranks, while the occupation forces shelled areas in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah announced in separate statements that it had targeted an Israeli infantry force gathering west and south of the Birkat Risha area with guided missiles and achieved direct hits.

The party also announced that its fighters had targeted the Branet barracks with guided missiles and caused confirmed casualties.

Hizbullah confirmed that it also targeted the Ramim barracks off the town of Markaba in the central sector of southern Lebanon and the Ruweisat al-Alam site in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms, confirming that it had achieved direct hits.

In another attack, Lebanese fighters targeted the Israeli site of Jal al-Deir with appropriate weapons and achieved direct hits, according to a statement issued by the Islamic Resistance, the military arm of Lebanese Hezbollah.

They also targeted an Israeli vehicle in the Tayeh triangle with guided missiles and achieved direct hits, according to another statement. Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that Hezbollah fired three rockets towards the settlement of Miskaf Aam.

Since the beginning of the Israeli war on Gaza after the Palestinian resistance launched the battle of the Al-Aqsa flood, Hezbollah fighters have been engaged in almost daily confrontations with the occupation forces, and Hezbollah has not ruled out engaging in the war more broadly, while Israel has promised a "devastating" response if it does so.

Hezbollah says in its statements that it is targeting Israeli forces in response to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and in support of the Palestinian resistance.

Israeli shelling

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the Israeli army carried out artillery shelling on the vicinity of the towns of Mheibib and Mays al-Jabal in southern Lebanon.

Prior to that, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern part of the town of Kafr Shuba and the vicinity of a number of towns in the central sector.

Israeli artillery also targeted the vicinity of the towns of Ramya, al-Jabin, al-Bustan, Alma al-Shaab and the area of al-Labouneh in the western sector of southern Lebanon.

Al Jazeera's correspondent said sirens sounded in several border settlements on the eastern section of the border with Lebanon.

Israeli media reported that the IDF suspected the infiltration of a march north of the Houla plain in the Galilee region.

In the context of the ongoing confrontations since the eighth of last October, the Israeli shelling caused Lebanese civilian martyrs, and about 60 Hezbollah fighters were martyred, and many Israeli soldiers were killed and others were seriously injured.
