Alejandro Sanz has become the host on Monday night in Seville of a private party with colleagues from the music industry coinciding with the celebration of the first edition of the Latin Grammys hosted by the capital of Seville.

The unique Hacienda Azahares has been, according to his press office, the place chosen for this intimate event with which the singer and composer has been signified as the Spanish artist with the most Latin Grammys in history (25 in total, to which another four Grammys are added) and, on the other hand, his signing this past summer with Sony Music Entertainment.

"It has been a beautiful night to meet again and start this new stage, as well as the prelude to a week where we are going to celebrate music in style," said Sanz in statements collected by his new record company.

The author of "Y si fuera ella" could increase his record in these awards at the ceremony to be held this coming Thursday, as he is nominated in two categories: song of the year for his song with Camilo "NASA" and record of the year for his song "Correcaminos", written and performed alongside Danny Ocean.

"We know what a huge artist you are, as well as your tenacity and passion for your work, your curiosity for new artists, the support you give to those who are just starting out, your generosity with colleagues, your commitment to the most just causes and the value of your friendship. They help to understand your success and explain why so many of your friends – and so illustrious – have wanted to participate in this tribute," said José María Barbat, president of Sony Music Spain.

Camilo, Niña Pastori, Kany García, Malú, Ana Mena, Arde Bogotá, Omar Montes, Reik, Nicki Nicole, María José Llergo and Antonio Carmona are some of the musicians who have attended the evening, in which legendary Sanz songs such as "Amiga mía", "Cuando nadie me ve", "Aprendiz" or "Mi soledad y yo" have been covered.

With multiple events throughout the city since last Friday, the 2023 Latin Grammys celebrate the first edition of its 24-year journey outside the U.S. in Seville.

With three Colombian stars at the head of the nominations such as Camilo, Karol G and Shakira, present in seven nominations, the music of this country could proclaim its hegemony, to which the Argentine Bizarrap, with six, or the Spaniard Pablo Alborán, the Puerto Rican Bad Bunny, the Argentine María Becerra, the Colombian Feid and the Mexican Natalia Lafourcade also compete as great favorites. all with five.
