The opposition parties will continue to strongly demand the resignation of Deputy Minister of Finance Kanda, who was delinquent in paying taxes in the past, saying that he has "not fulfilled his accountability at all."
In response, the government and the ruling parties intend to carefully explain the facts, but there is an opinion that resignation is inevitable if it affects the deliberations of the Diet, so we will carefully consider how to respond.

State Minister of Finance Kanda, who is qualified as a tax accountant, apologized in the Diet after revealing in the Diet that the land and buildings of the company of which he serves as representative director had been seized four times due to tax delinquency.

Regarding this, Representative Izumi of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan said, "It cannot be said that the right person is in the right place to continue to be delinquent in paying taxes in a position to ask for tax payments, and he should resign immediately.

The opposition parties will continue to strongly demand the resignation of State Minister Kanda, saying that they are "only under scrutiny and have not fulfilled their accountability at all," and will continue to hold Prime Minister Kishida accountable for his appointment.

In response, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno stated, "As a deputy minister of the Ministry of Finance who receives taxes from the people, I would like him to give an explanation with self-awareness."

The government and the ruling party have resigned one after another, and we would like to minimize the impact on the administration by having Deputy Minister Kanda carefully explain the facts.

However, there is also an opinion from within the ruling party that resignation is inevitable if it affects the deliberations of the Diet, and we will carefully consider our response.
