Parts of the area that has been cordoned off after the collapse in Stenungsund are now being reopened. This means that some business owners can now access their buildings and that their operations can now return to normal.

"Of course, it's nice and that the businesses can go back," says Jessica Waller, Business Manager at Stenungssund.

On 25 October, Stenungsund submitted documentation to the County Administrative Board in which the municipality's hired geotechnical technicians made the assessment that the ground is sufficiently stable to reduce the cordoned-off area.

The County Administrative Board therefore decided on Friday to lift the access ban for Munkeröd's industrial area west of Norumsån from Saturday 11 November at 12.00.
