An attempt to attack Energodar

Along with this, in early November, it was reported about Kyiv's attempt to launch an attack in the city of Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia region. On November 2, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced that Russian air defense systems shot down nine copter-type drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the air.

As the ministry emphasized, the Kiev regime staged an attack attempt in order to create a threat of a man-made disaster at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and disrupt the rotation of employees of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the facility.

The Russian Foreign Ministry then said that the attack by the UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Energodar violated the principles of nuclear safety and security of the ZNPP.

"Ukraine has once again violated the 'ceasefire regime' and launched a massive drone attack on the city of Enerhodar, located near the station, where its employees and their families live," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

As the diplomat emphasized, two UAVs hit the building of the Energodar hotel.

"Kiev continues to play with fire, carries out criminal and irresponsible provocations, grossly violates the so-called five principles proclaimed by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to ensure the nuclear safety and security of the ZNPP," Zakharova added.
