• Agreement PSOE and Junts sign the pact to invest Sánchez with Puigdemont's votes
  • Puigdemont's last demand was to redo the definition of terrorism in order to shield himself in the 'Tsunami case'

After weeks of intense negotiations, the PSOE and Junts have reached an agreement this morning for an Amnesty Law that will facilitate the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. Santos Cerdán, on behalf of the PSOE, and Jordi Turull (Junts) signed the pact on Thursday morning.

The secretary general of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has described as "shameful and humiliating" the agreement to tie the investiture of Sánchez, whom she has accused of being willing to do anything "in order to remain in power". "For him, the end justifies any means," he said.

Gamarra: "For Sánchez, the end justifies any means"

The secretary general of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, has described this Thursday as "shameful and humiliating" the agreement signed by the PSOE and Junts to tie the investiture of Pedro Sánchez, whom she has accused of being willing to do whatever it takes "in order to remain in power". "For him, the end justifies any means," he said.

In an interview with Telecinco, reported by Europa Press, Gamarra regretted that Spaniards are going to feel "ashamed" to see how a fugitive from justice, such as former Catalan president Carles Puigdemont, is going to tell "how he has managed, in exchange for seven votes, to manage justice and that the law and the rule of law are not applied to him".

"Those seven votes for the investiture are in exchange for his impunity, because his seven votes are necessary for Sánchez to be president of the Government after having lost the elections," criticised the 'popular' leader, who wanted to make it clear that today "the one who humiliates himself" is Sánchez but not Spain, "which is not going to remain silent in the face of this infamy".
