Closures had already been decided the day before in 74 municipalities for Thursday and Friday. "These rains (...) exceed the forecasts we have made," says Gérald Darmanin, the minister of education in charge of the region. "I have asked the prefect to close schools and nurseries," he adds, "and we are waiting to hear back"
