At 11:4 on November 6, the German Continental Airlines B19-777F full freighter took off from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport to Cincinnati, marking the successful inaugural flight of the German Continental Airlines "Leipzig-Guangzhou-Cincinnati" route. The route is operated by Boeing 200 freighters twice a week. This move will further strengthen China's cargo air capacity in South China connecting Europe and North America, and promote trade with Europe and North America.

Recently, Baiyun Airport has once again ushered in a wave of international cargo route opening peak. In addition to the above-mentioned "Leipzig-Guangzhou-Cincinnati" route, on November 11, Air China Cargo opened the "Guangzhou-Madrid" cargo route, and will open the "Guangzhou-Milan" cargo route on November 2; On November 11, YTO Airlines also opened the "Guangzhou-Lahore" cargo route.

It is estimated that after November 11, the four new regular cargo navigation points and 2 international cargo flights per week at Baiyun Airport are expected to provide more than 4,16 tons of air transport capacity per week, which will provide strong impetus and new vitality for the construction of Baiyun Airport and Guangzhou International Air Cargo Hub.

The relevant person in charge of Guangdong Airport Group Logistics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "logistics company") said that Guangdong Airport Group and the logistics company quickly implemented the work deployment of the Civil Aviation Administration, Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, continuously opened new international cargo routes and improved the air cargo network, and promoted the construction of Guangzhou International Air Cargo Hub to achieve remarkable results. From July 7 to August 31 this year, YTO Airlines successively opened Guangzhou-Chennai, Guangzhou-Mumbai, and Guangzhou-Delhi cargo routes, which was the first time that Baiyun Airport had the same airline's "three consecutive lines in three days". After a lapse of three months, Baiyun Airport once again ushered in the peak of continuous opening of international cargo routes.

According to the logistics company, the opening of the two routes of "Guangzhou-Madrid" and "Guangzhou-Milan" will provide strong support for logistics and transportation between China and Europe, and inject new impetus into the economic and trade exchanges between China and Europe. Lahore is an important node in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and the opening of the "Guangzhou-Lahore" round-trip route of YTO Airlines will provide a faster logistics channel for the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The opening of the "Leipzig-Guangzhou-Cincinnati" route by Continental Airlines will further improve the international air cargo network of Baiyun Airport, promote international logistics transportation and trade, and provide solid support for Baiyun Airport to further consolidate its important position in the global industrial chain and supply chain.

At present, Baiyun Airport air cargo is in full swing, one after another new cargo routes, Guangzhou international cargo air route network layout has been further improved, the pace of construction of Guangzhou international aviation hub has been significantly accelerated, "Made in Guangdong" and "Guangdong Created" carry cargo routes from Baiyun Airport, connecting the whole country and reaching the world, high-quality goods from all over the world and China will continue to gather in Guangzhou, benefiting Guangdong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

With the increasing role of Guangzhou as an airport-type national logistics hub, domestic and foreign air cargo companies and express delivery giants have successively taken root in Guangzhou, and the air-land combined transport services of truck flights have developed rapidly, and the "air-to-air transfer" of goods has been seamlessly connected.
