The oil was discovered on Tuesday. The area had already been cleaned up, but it has now been confirmed that oil has once again accumulated in the bays and on the shores.

On Wednesday, the Coast Guard will gather forces in the area. The water at the site is too shallow to decontaminate with small boats, which means that the oil needs to be cleaned up by hand.

Eight tons is equivalent to about 8000 liters of oil.
