The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, called for stopping the war in Gaza, "which has crossed all borders", preventing bloodshed, sparing civilians the consequences of military confrontation, and preventing the spread of conflict.

In his speech at the opening of the 52nd session of the Qatari Shura Council on October 24, he said that "Israel should not be given an unconditional green light and unrestricted permission to kill, and the reality of occupation, siege and settlement should not continue to be ignored, and it is not supposed to allow in our time to use cutting off water and preventing medicine and food as weapons against an entire people."

The Emir of Qatar called for a serious regional and international stand in the face of this dangerous escalation that threatens the security of the region and the world, stressing that "the unprecedented barbaric bombardment of civilians in the Gaza Strip, one of the most densely populated areas in the world, should not be tolerated, nor ignore the huge numbers of innocent victims of children and women."
