A reporter asked: We have noted that the Cuban Government has announced that Cuban Prime Minister Marrero will visit China. How does China view the current China-Cuba relations?

Wang Wenbin: China welcomes Prime Minister Marrero's visit to China from November 11 to 2 and his attendance at the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE). This is Comrade Marrero's first visit to China since he assumed the post of premier, and Chinese leaders will meet and hold talks with him to have an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern.

Prime Minister Marrero's visit to China is another important high-level exchange between China and Cuba, following the state visit to China by First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President Díaz-Canel of Cuba in November last year, the meeting between President Xi Jinping and President Díaz-Canel in South Africa in August this year, and the visit to Cuba of the "Group of 11 and China" Havana Summit by President Xi Jinping's special representative Li Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection in September this year.

China and Cuba are good friends and like-minded comrades who walk hand in hand. China is ready to work with Cuba to take this visit as an opportunity to continue to deepen China-Cuba special friendly relations in the new era and work together to build a China-Cuba community with a shared future.
