The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said it had ambushed an Israeli armored force east of Khan Yunis (southern Gaza Strip) after crossing the separation fence for several meters.

The brigades added – in a statement – that its mujahideen coalesced with the infiltrating force, destroyed two bulldozers and a tank, forced the enemy to withdraw, and returned to their bases safely.

"Our mujahideen confirmed that the soldiers of the Israeli force that was ambushed in Khan Yunis left their vehicles and fled east of the separation fence on foot," she said.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation army said that gunmen opened fire at an army force west of the border fence of the Gaza Strip in the Kissufim area.

He said an Israeli tank attacked the group that fired on the soldiers in Kissufim, without elaborating.

Israel Radio confirmed that IDF casualties were reported during an armed clash near Kibbutz Kissufim in the Eshkol compound east of the border with the Gaza Strip.

Israel's Channel 12 reported that four soldiers were wounded, one critically, in an anti-tank missile fired from the Gaza Strip.


Qassam Message

A few days ago, the Qassam Brigades published a video message to the Israeli ground forces, showing their fighters training to target military vehicles and capture soldiers in the event of a ground incursion into Gaza.

Al-Qassam also unveiled the "Al-Yassin" anti-armor missile that entered service during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

In a video released by the al-Qassam Brigades, the images showed the 105mm al-Yassin shell destroying an Israeli Merkava tank in a settlement in the Gaza Strip during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
