Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani stressed on Sunday the need for relief and humanitarian aid convoys to continue entering the Palestinians stranded under bombardment in the Gaza Strip.

In a call from Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Challengeberg, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister stressed the importance of coordinating international and regional efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza and work hard to achieve a just and comprehensive peace.

The Qatari prime minister and foreign minister had earlier stressed that the priority for the time being was to "stop the war in Gaza to ensure that relief and humanitarian aid reach the stranded."

"We are strengthening our efforts with partners to open a humanitarian corridor for the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip," Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani said, noting that the killing of innocent civilians and the practice of collective punishment of Gaza is unacceptable under any pretext.
