At the beginning of the summer, the Board of Upper Secondary Education chose to discontinue the cooperation with the club regarding national sports education in taekwondo.
Reports of serious violations against three pupils during school hours were behind that decision.
Then the recreation committee decided to also review their contribution to so Shim – which is about hundreds of thousands of kronor per year.
Now the politicians of the recreation committee have come to the conclusion that they should stop paying the grant. The decision will enter into force from the first of January 2024.
According to sources to SVT, S, V, and SD voted against continued subsidies. M, L, C, and M voted in favour of continuing the subsidy.
