The tugboat Munksund 5 has seen the light of day again after having been buried at the bottom of the Pite River for 60 years. In the clip, you can see when the crane that salvaged the warship Vasa pulls the ship out of the water.
It is for environmental reasons that Piteå municipality decided to salvage the tugboat. In fact, it is hoped that the ship will be in such good condition that it can be used as a tourist boat in the future.
The salvage work is expected to cost SEK 3.4 million.
