"We are deeply saddened by the news that our videographer Issam Abdullah has been killed," the agency said in a statement.

Issam was part of the agency's team in southern Lebanon, which provided live coverage of the events.

Al Jazeera earlier reported that one journalist was killed and three others were injured, including two employees of the broadcaster, due to Israeli shelling in southern Lebanon.

On October 12, Dmitry Kiselyov, general director of the Rossiya Segodnya media group, said that Sputnik journalist Khaybar Akifi and his wife Olesya were wounded in a strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Belgorod, and their daughter was killed.
