"Yesterday, on October 12, the Belarusian border patrol found two foreign citizens near the Polish fence. One of them did not show signs of life," the republic's border committee said.

An ambulance treated the second man, who turned out to be an Iranian citizen. He said that he and his friend were detained by Polish security forces, they were beaten and "kept without food and water in the cold."

After that, the foreigners were brought to the border and, under the threat of reprisals, forced the Iranian to "drag the body through the animal gate to the Belarusian side," the report says.

The agency published a video with an Iranian explaining what happened.

Earlier, the Border Committee of Belarus reported that the corpse of a refugee was found on the border with Latvia.
