"Taking into account the position of the prosecutor's office, the court sentenced Ovsyannikova to 8 years and 6 months in prison to be served in a penal colony," the statement said.
In addition, it is noted that the court deprived Ovsyannikova of the right to engage in activities related to the administration of sites of electronic or information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet, for a period of four years.
Earlier it was reported that the state prosecutor asks to sentence Ovsyannikova to 9.5 years in a penal colony and deprive her of the right to administer sites for five years.
On August 11, the Basmanny Court of Moscow sent Ovsyannikova under house arrest on charges of disseminating false information about the Russian Armed Forces.
