In the parliamentary elections in Slovakia in central Europe, the leader of the opposition party, which became the first party, called for the suspension of military assistance to Ukraine, and at a press conference, he said, "There are more challenges than dealing with Ukraine," and emphasized that there is no change in the position of suspending military assistance.

In Slovakia, Ukraine's neighbor, parliamentary elections were held on the 30th of last month, and the left-wing opposition party "Direction and Social Democracy" led by former Prime Minister Fiso, which opposes the suspension of military assistance to Ukraine and sanctions against Russia, came in first place with the percentage of votes.

However, we have not been able to secure a majority on our own.

One day after the vote, Fiso held a press conference in the capital Bratislava and said he would spend about two weeks negotiating with the parties and reaching a conclusion on the framework of a coalition government.

Regarding the response to Ukraine, which has become a focal point, he stated that "there are greater challenges for Slovakia," and indicated that he would prioritize responding to soaring prices.

He stressed the need for peace talks to end the military invasion and stressed that there was no change in his position to suspend military assistance to Ukraine.

If Mr. Fiso comes to power, it could affect the unity of Europe against the invading Russia, and attention is being paid to the future of talks to form a coalition government.
