American aid, Slovak elections... Concern about the future of Western aid to Ukraine?

While on the side of the United States, parliamentarians have not decided on the next component of financial, military and humanitarian aid to support Ukraine, and that a government hostile to military aid could soon take the lead of Slovakia after the elections of Saturday, September 30, the Ukrainians do not really fear a drying up of Western support.

Between the omission of Ukrainian aid in the US Senate vote on the night of Saturday to Sunday, October 1, and the Slovak elections that could see a pro-Russian government take over the country, this political weekend was watched closely from Ukraine. But the population remains confident in Western help, as evidenced by these Kiev residents.

I think that this (American) budget will be reviewed and that everything can change, I hope... You know, we have no influence on that, so we can only do things on our scale for our victory, "says a woman.

Given how Hungary treats us, and now Slovakia, I am worried about these countries, still cares about another. As for the United States, I don't think their aid will be affected, I still believe in it, I have friends there, volunteers, soldiers, they will continue to support us.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko said that while some aid programs could be affected, U.S. aid should not be impacted globally. A view shared by the head of the presidential administration, Andriy Yermak, who does not believe in a sudden change in Washington's policy towards Kiev.
