More outsiders are affected by both shootings and blasts. Every month, a person is shot accidentally, according to statistics produced by the police for TV4 News. Night black figures that correspond to SVT Nyheter's survey.

Since October last year, nearly 20 people who are not believed to have been targeted have been hit by bullets. At least seven bystanders have died and eleven have been physically injured, in eleven shootings. Many times it has taken place in public places, where more people have been.

On September 21, a man in his 70s died and two were injured in a fatal shooting of a man in his 20s at a pub in Sandviken.

25-year-old Mogos Amanuel Tesfamariam worked in home care in Uppsala and dreamed of becoming a lawyer. On September 12, he was shot dead in his stairwell in Sala backe, by a person who is believed to have been after someone completely different.

One Saturday evening in June, two men fired automatic fire in Farsta center.

43-year-old Tesfamichal Beraki was on his way home from a photo assignment at a baby shower when he ended up in the middle of the rain of bullets and slowed down in the square.

A 15-year-old boy was also killed. Relatives and others close to him tell SVT that they do not believe he should have been a target. Police sources also tell P3 Crimea that they do not see that anyone who was hit in the mass shooting has any clear links to crime.

In January, a 39-year-old man was shot dead outside a restaurant in Huvudsta centrum in Solna. According to the prosecutor, he was probably in the wrong place at the wrong time.

56-year-old Conny Nordin was shot twice in the leg while drinking beer with friends at his regular shack in Visättra, Huddinge, in December last year.

41-year-old Enki Özmen was a social, charming, sports enthusiast and committed person. In October 2022, he was shot dead near a school in Ronna in Södertälje. According to the police's investigation, there are many indications that he was shot accidentally.

"Trust in the judiciary and society at large is being put to the test," says his father.

Erik Åkerlund is the commander of the police's special operation Frank. He understands that one can feel a fear or upset.

"Every occasion is one opportunity too many.
