According to the statistics of the Pingtung County Government, up to now, the accident has caused a total of 22 deaths (including 9 firefighters and 4 employees), 5 minor and serious injuries, and 110 employee is still missing.
The Pingtung County Government said on the 25th that after investigation and clear grasp of relevant evidence, it was determined that Mingyang Company had 3 illegal facts and the situation was serious, and according to the law, it was re-imposed with a total of 240.<> million yuan.
Mingyang's three illegal facts include: public dangerous goods exceeded the controlled quantity, and was fined 3,30 yuan; After the fire alarm occurred and the firefighters arrived at the scene, they failed to provide the type, quantity, location, floor plan and necessary information of the chemical in full form, and were fined 60,150 yuan; When the fire command staff rescued the factory fire, they did not assign a special person to the scene to assist in disaster relief, and were heavily fined <>.<> million yuan.
The Pingtung County government also said that the public dangerous goods stored by Mingyang Company exceeded the control regulations, and the management rights holder would be investigated for legal responsibility such as public danger crimes and the crime of negligent death.
