Between seven o'clock in the evening and four o'clock in the morning, the UL buses do not stop in Heby urban area. They only stop along Route 72 where a couple of temporary stops have been established.

"For the residents of Heby municipality, public transport is very important. We are therefore really concerned about this situation," says Emma Burstedt.

Extension of the stop

On Monday, the ban should have been lifted, but instead a decision was made to extend until Tuesday evening. Now Heby municipality – together with UL and the police – will have another meeting on Wednesday with the hope of releasing traffic as usual.

But a new extension for the stop is not excluded.

"We cannot let the buses back in until we have a clear action plan to ensure that travel is safe," says Emma Burstedt.
