Li Jiachao said that the Hangzhou Asian Games will have 40 major events, 61 sub-events and 481 small events, including the addition of e-sports and breakdancing, welcoming more than 1,2 Asian athletes, making it the largest Asian Games in history with the widest coverage. The Hong Kong team will have about 680 athletes participating, the most in the Asian Games and worthy of everyone's attention.

Mr Lee said that over the next four days, in addition to attending the opening ceremony of the Asian Games, he would also visit the athletes' village and the event site to cheer on our athletes, and visit Hong Kong volunteers who volunteered for the Hangzhou Asian Games. He wished Hong Kong athletes outstanding performance in this Asian Games, showcased the style and sportsmanship of Hong Kong athletes, and told Hong Kong's sports story in the international sports arena.

According to the website of the Macao SAR Government on the 22nd, the Chief Executive of the Macao SAR, Ho Iat Seng, was invited to lead a delegation of the Macao SAR Government to Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province from September 9 to 22 to attend the opening ceremony and related activities of the 25th Asian Games held on the 23rd. Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Au Yeung Yu, Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Hui Lai-fang, and other officials attended the ceremony. During the absence of the Chief Executive in Macao, the Secretary for Administration and Justice, Zhang Wing-chun, will act as the Chief Executive on an interim basis.
