The lawyer points out that, according to US law, an NGO operating in the country is obliged to create a specialized website on which it must disclose contact information and some details of its own funding.

Ilya Remeslo believes that the information published by ACF indicates attempts to legalize foreign funding of FBK structures.

In a conversation with RT, Ilya Remeslo stressed that the FBK leadership located abroad does not advertise the work of its structures in the United States. In particular, fundraising.

"FBK has two websites – one well-known, international, for all sorts of liberal journalists. And there is a second, in the United States, unknown to anyone, which was started, because US law requires full disclosure of information about the activities of NGOs, in particular its address, goals, sources of funding, "the lawyer notes.

According to the expert, the data found on the collection of donations in a number of US states confirm the arguments in favor of the presence of FBK hidden funding in the United States through large funds associated with the US State Department.

"The American subsidiary of FBK indicated that it had registered to collect donations in 7 states - New York, New Jersey, Maine, Pennsylvania, Utah, Washington and North Carolina. This only makes sense if the ACF receives money from government-affiliated entities, such as the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Thus, we are dealing with a means of legalizing the financing of FBK through American government funds, "says Craft.

At the same time, according to the lawyer, switching to the collection of "donations" in various states of the United States indirectly indicates that the leadership of the FBK does not have any illusions about domestic or even emigrant support.

Earlier, RT reported that Leonid Volkov **** and Vladimir Ashurkov created an American "clone" of FBK in 2021 by registering the Anti-Corruption Foundation, Inc. (ACF) in Massachusetts. As it became known later, the ACF receives funding from the structures of ex-oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky*****.
