The Russian Defense Ministry announced the suppression of new attempts by Kiev to carry out terrorist attacks using UAVs on Russian territory.

As follows from the statement of the department, the incident occurred on September 16 at night.

"Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over the territories of the Kaluga and Tver regions by air defense systems on duty," the Ministry of Defense said.

The governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, wrote on his Telegram channel that no one was injured as a result of the incident, emergency services are working on the spot.

In addition, the head of the Oryol region, Andrei Klychkov, said the day before that electronic warfare equipment had neutralized a Ukrainian drone in the Livensky district of the region.

"He fell near the village of Svobodnaya Dubrava, there were no injuries or casualties. The scene is cordoned off, law enforcement agencies are taking the necessary measures, the situation is under control," Klychkov wrote on Telegram.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation systematically reports on the suppression of attempts by the Ukrainian side to attack objects on Russian territory with the help of UAVs.

On September 14, the agency reported several attempts to attack UAVs per day. On this day, around midnight, at least four enemy drones were shot down in the Bryansk region.

At about 05:30 it also became known about the attempted attack of the Crimea. 11 UAVs were shot down by air defense systems on duty.

On the evening of September 13, attempts to attack UAVs in the Bryansk and Belgorod regions were also reported. Another device was shot down over the Belgorod region on September 12. On the previous day, the Ministry of Defense also reported downed UAVs in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

Earlier, the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, called on residents to assist in the detection of unmanned aerial vehicles through the Radar mobile application. It can be used to report shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and drones.

"It will help to promptly report spotted UAVs and unidentified suspicious objects," he wrote on Telegram.

According to Gusev, all received messages are immediately transferred to the competent authorities.

In addition, the governor of the Pskov region, Mikhail Vedernikov, told TASS that the Druzhina defense and security assistance detachment numbering about 1 thousand is working in the region, which, among other things, assists in the detection of UAVs.

"Among their tasks are to assist the authorized federal bodies in identifying UAVs, conducting explanatory work with the population, preparing for actions in emergency situations, and so on. It is important not to panic — and that people know how to behave in an emergency situation," Vedernikov said in an interview with TASS.

Recall that the Pskov region was among the regions affected by the mass attack of Ukrainian drones on August 30. As a result of the UAV raid, a fire broke out at the Pskov airport.

The Russian side has repeatedly noted that attempts to attack civilian targets by Ukrainian troops clearly indicate the terrorist nature of the current government in Kiev.

In particular, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova spoke about this on September 5. According to her, the terrorist essence of the Kiev regime "is no longer possible not to see, even in the most remote corners of our planet."
