The global durian production areas are mainly concentrated in Southeast Asian countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Among them, Malaysia and Thailand are the two largest durian producers in the world.

Located in Laube County, Pahang in Peninsular Malaysia, the mountains are high, the soil is fertile, the water quality is clear, and the climate is suitable, which is conducive to durian cultivation and is recognized as the "hometown of Musang King" in Malaysia. In May this year, Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group signed a memorandum of understanding with the Pahang Agricultural Products and Ecotourism Association of Malaysia to strengthen cooperation in the fields of logistics services and trade of characteristic agricultural products.

On the same day, the "Maoshan Love" brand release and opening ceremony of the durian flagship store created by Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group subsidiary Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group was held in Nanning.

"This is a concrete measure for us to implement the memorandum of cooperation between the two sides. We closely communicate and cooperate with the local agricultural association in Malaysia, and signed a cooperation agreement with the leading enterprise of the association to directly purchase high-quality orchards and suppliers, and directly supply the ripe high-quality fruits from the tree from the source to ensure the quality of durian. Li Zhuhuan, deputy general manager of the marketing department of Guangxi Beigang Logistics Co., Ltd., said.

Compared with the previous transportation mode, this batch of durian can be described as a "fast train". "From Malaysia to China, durian adopts liquid nitrogen lock fresh quick-frozen packaging, and arrives at Qinzhou Port Area of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Port through the '(Malaysia) Kuantan Port - (Guangxi) Beibu Gulf Port - China Sichuan-Chongqing' multimodal transport route, and arrives at Nanning Comprehensive International Logistics Park after customs clearance in seconds, and the whole cold chain is one box to the end." Chen Yuhao, deputy general manager of Nanning Comprehensive International Logistics Park Co., Ltd., introduced that this batch of Musang King durian saved 5 days compared with the past from fruit dropping, liquid nitrogen fresh locking, quick-frozen packaging, delivery to customs clearance, and completely restored the most authentic taste of Musang King.

In recent years, with the deepening of China-ASEAN cooperation in various fields and the continuous advancement of the construction of new international land-sea trade channels, the "vegetable basket" and "fruit plate" of the Chinese people have become more abundant and diverse. Among them, durian, which is abundant in Southeast Asia and known as the "nobility of fruits", is especially sought after and loved by Chinese consumers. China has become the world's largest consumer of durian.

At the 9th China-ASEAN Expo, which will open on September 16, the aforementioned Musang King durian will be sold live online at the Malaysian venue, and the Philippine durian will also be unveiled for the first time at the expo. (End)
