According to reports, the National Cyber Security Publicity Week is jointly sponsored by the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and other departments, and has been held annually since 2014.
