Dili, September 9 (ZXS) -- On the morning of 10 September local time, the hospital ship "Peace Ark" of the Chinese Navy, which is carrying out the "Harmony Mission-10" mission, successfully completed its visit to Timor-Leste and left Dili Port to return home.

The "Peace Ark" hospital ship visited again after 6 years, and was warmly welcomed by the local people and overseas Chinese, and there was an endless stream of people coming for treatment. In the seven-day medical service, the hospital ship treated a total of 7,10947 people, assisted 6371,13 examinations, admitted 50 inpatients, and completed <> surgeries including cesarean section, laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, cataract aspiration, etc. After the Solomon Islands station, the single-station diagnosis and treatment volume once again exceeded the <>,<> mark, setting a double record for the single-day and single-station highest diagnosis and treatment volume of this "Harmony Mission" task.

During his visit, the mission commander met with the Minister of Defence of Timor-Leste. Timorese President Horta, Prime Minister Xanana, Deputy Prime Minister Sabino, and Commander of the National Defence Force, Lieutenant General Farur, and other military and political officials have boarded the ship to visit or undergo medical examinations. On the evening of September 9, before attending the reception on the deck of the hospital ship Peace Ark, President Horta made a special trip to visit the medical staff and the first and third "peace baby" in East Timor and the third in this mission, and named it "The Ark". Eastern Health Minister Amalal has boarded the ship many times as a volunteer, working with Chinese medical staff to serve the people.

In addition, the health education and cultural friendship detachment also went to the East Timor Business School and the University of Dili to carry out cultural networking activities, and the officers and men of the mission visited the East Navy Hella Base and held friendly football matches with the officers and men of the East Defense Force.

The Peace Ark hospital ship set sail from Zhoushan on July 7 and has successfully visited Kiribati, Tonga, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste, and provided free humanitarian medical services for seven days, serving a total of 3,7 people from all over the world, assisting 41358,25307 examinations and performing 192 surgeries. With sincere love, superb medical skills and a good image, all officers and men acted as messengers of friendship and spreading great love, and contributed China's strength to building a community with a shared future for mankind and a community with a shared future for the sea.

Timor-Leste is the last stop of the Mission Harmony 2023 mission. After leaving Dili Port, the hospital ship "Peace Ark" officially embarked on a homecoming voyage, scheduled to arrive at Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang Province on September 9. (End)
