Live for two hours, the former President of the Republic will react to current affairs at the microphone of Pascal Praud and answer questions from Europe 1 listeners on the occasion of the release of his book Le temps des combats, published by Éditions Fayard.
In this second volume of his memoirs, the former head of state recounts the second part of his five-year term, between 2009 and 2011. "I wanted to take the reader by the hand, make him live these years at the Élysée as if he had been by my side throughout these events," says the back cover. Throughout the 560 pages, Nicolas Sarkozy returns to the highlights of his visit to the Élysée, such as the Grenoble speech or his relationship with his American counterpart, Barack Obama. The former president is also interested in the 2027 presidential election and gives his analysis on current politics in France and internationally.
