He also hopes that the meeting with Mishustin on the agenda of bilateral relations between the countries will be constructive. Pashinyan recalled that the Russian prime minister promised to open new lanes on the "Upper Lars" and this happened.

"We are grateful to you and our Georgian colleagues too, we are very happy about your cooperation," Pashinyan was quoted as saying by the Telegram channel of the Russian government.

Earlier it was reported that Mishustin arrived in Armenia. At the ramp of the plane, he was met by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin and head of the state protocol service of the country's Foreign Ministry Gagik Vanoyan.

In July, Mishustin and Pashinyan held telephone conversations, during which they discussed increasing cargo traffic through the Upper Lars border checkpoint.
