Nanfang Daily News (Reporter/He Liyuan Correspondent/Li Zhaode) The Hong Kong Youth Walking Band, composed of more than 100 teachers and students, recently concluded the "Hong Kong and Macao Youth See the Motherland" Zhuhai-Hong Kong Youth Walking Orchestra Performance and National Defense Education 2023 Activity, and successfully returned to Hong Kong through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Highway Port.

"I hope that in the future, I can take the opportunity of study and go to more mainland cities to feel the scenery of the motherland." 16-year-old Liu is the drummer of the marching troupe, and he likes architectural design, not only took a lot of photos of Zhuhai's characteristic buildings during the performance with the group, but also specially purchased a model of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge at the bridge port.

Hong Kong students are busy going to the mainland for exchange and study, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao is hot for customs clearance. According to statistics from the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Border Checkpoint, as of August 8, the station has inspected more than 13 Hong Kong student study groups and cultural exchange delegations, and more than 360,2 Hong Kong students have entered the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge port to exchange in mainland provinces and cities.

The person in charge of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge border checkpoint said that most Hong Kong students who go to the mainland for exchange are first-time entrants and have not applied for fast-track filing. In order to shorten the customs clearance time of the student group, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Border Inspection Station took the initiative to connect with relevant functional departments, understand the customs clearance needs of the Hong Kong student group in advance, and open manual inspection channels for the student group members in a timely manner to maximize the speed of customs clearance. In addition, the station has assigned more civilian police to be responsible for guidance and supervision outside Taiwan, providing consultation and guidance services for group members, reducing the risk of young students getting lost at ports, and providing a safer, more efficient and convenient customs clearance experience for cross-border exchanges of Hong Kong students.
