President Putin decrees to suspend part of tax treaties with Japan and others

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a presidential order on the 8th suspending some of the tax treaties with other countries, targeting Japan, the West, and other countries that impose sanctions on Russia in response to the military invasion of Ukraine.

The executive decree states that it "decided because it is necessary to take urgent measures against unfriendly actions against Russia" and suspends the main provisions of the treaty with 38 countries.

The suspension period is "until the infringement of Russian interests is stopped," which is seen as a countermeasure to sanctions.

The tax treaty is an agreement on the rules of taxation between the two countries in order to promote investment and economic exchange, and was concluded between Japan and Russia in 1986 during the Soviet era, and five years ago a revised treaty came into force that reduced the tax rate on profits from investments obtained by Japan companies in Russia.

"The second shot where rescuers gathered in a missile attack"

Ukraine's Emergency Agency said that two missiles hit an apartment complex in eastern Donetsk Oblast, killing seven people, and that the damage was magnified by the second missile hit where rescue teams were gathering after the first missile attack.

In Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, on the 2th, two Russian missiles were fired one after another into a five-story apartment building, killing seven people and injuring 7 others, according to the Emergency Situation Service of Ukraine.

Regarding this attack, the Emergency Situation Service of Ukraine held a press conference in the capital Kyiv on the 1th, and revealed that the first missile attack hit the second missile where rescue teams and others were gathering.

As a result, the damage has expanded, and one rescue worker is included among the seven deaths, and rescue teams and police officers are among the injured.

A spokesman for Ukraine's Emergency Situations Service harshly criticized rescue teams, stressing that they have no choice but to rush to the scene in the event of an attack, saying, "This is the Russian way, we don't understand, we have to say it's the terrorists' way."
