This was stated by the Foreign Minister of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.

Ignatiev noted that "no conditions are ripe" for the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping mission.

"In the context of global instability, the Ukrainian crisis, the peacekeeping operation gives additional stability in our Moldovan-Pridnestrovian regional space. And we expect that our neighbors, the Republic of Moldova, will show responsibility and will not take those actions that could lead to the destruction of the peacekeeping operation," TASS quoted him as saying.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Moscow would consider provocations against the Russian military in Transnistria an attack on Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also said that Russian peacekeepers guarantee peace in Transnistria.
