Sources of the publication added that in the following weeks, the level of losses decreased to 10% due to a slowdown in the counteroffensive and a change in the tactics of the Ukrainian troops.
One of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told the NYT that the drone removed half a dozen Western armored vehicles that came under fire.
"They all burned down," he said.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukrainian militants refuse to control foreign-made tanks, since foreign combat vehicles are a priority target for Russian military personnel.
During the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, armored vehicles supplied to Kyiv by the West, such as Leopard tanks and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, come under attack from the Russian military.
