Beijing, 6 Jun (ZXS) -- On the afternoon of 27 June, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Trung on an official visit to China at the Great Hall of the People.

Xi Jinping pointed out that after the conclusion of the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China last year, I invited General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to visit and jointly steer the development of China-Vietnam relations. This year marks the <>th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam, and the exchanges between the two countries at all levels have become increasingly close, and the consensus reached between me and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is being implemented. China regards Vietnam as a priority direction of its peripheral diplomacy and a community of shared destiny of strategic significance, which is a strategic choice made by China based on the long-term development of bilateral relations. In the face of the increasingly severe and complex international situation, China and Vietnam should uphold the spirit of equality and mutual benefit, solidarity, mutual trust and win-win cooperation, work together to seek common development, better benefit the two peoples, and inject more stability into the chaotic and intertwined world.

Xi Jinping stressed that China and Vietnam are both socialist countries, comrades with high mutual trust, partners of mutual benefit and win-win results, and friends who know each other. The two sides should deepen the exchange of experience in party management, adhere to the concept of putting the people first, and firmly support each other in taking the socialist road and the road of modernization with different characteristics in line with their national conditions. The two sides should jointly build the "Belt and Road" with high quality, strengthen the docking of development strategies, give play to complementary advantages, and accelerate practical cooperation in infrastructure, smart customs, green energy and other fields. China is willing to import more marketable Vietnamese products and welcomes Vietnam to actively participate in the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation and the China International Import Expo in the second half of this year. The two sides should enrich people-to-people exchanges, enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples, especially the younger generation, and lay a solid social foundation for the development of bilateral relations. The two sides should jointly oppose "decoupling and breaking the chain", oppose the politicization of economic and scientific and technological issues, safeguard international fairness and justice and their own development rights and interests, promote the development of the international order in a more just and reasonable direction, and create a peaceful and stable external environment for the modernization of the two countries.

Pham Minh Trung said that China is a world power and a close neighbor of Vietnam, and the continuous development of long-term, stable and good Vietnam-China relations has always been the strategic choice and top priority of the Vietnamese party and government. Vietnam has always remembered and sincerely thanked China for its long-term valuable assistance to Vietnam and cherished the comrade-brotherly relationship carefully nurtured by leaders of the older generation. Vietnam is proud of the major achievements of the Communist Party of China in theoretical and practical innovation, and believes that under the strong leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, China will successfully realize Chinese-style modernization and build itself into a modern socialist power. Vietnam firmly adheres to the one-China policy, supports the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative and Global Civilization Initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping, supports China's accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, and will continue to actively participate in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", deepen cooperation in various fields, and promote the continuous development of Vietnam-China relations. Vietnam opposes politicization of economic issues and is willing to work closely with China to prevent and respond to various risks and challenges, prevent any forces from alienating Vietnam-China relations, and build a Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with a common destiny.
