A worker died on Tuesday in a vineyard in Cinco Casas (Ciudad Real) due to heat stroke, as confirmed by the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Rural Development of Castilla-La Mancha, Francisco Martínez Arroyo.

The counselor has transferred in social networks the condolences to the family and friends of the victim.

In addition, he has asked farmers and ranchers to take extreme precautions if they work in the open air before this "terrible" heat wave and ensure "maximum protection" to employees in the agricultural sector.

Last Saturday another farmer died in Aznalcóllar (Seville) victim also of a heat stroke he suffered while he was plowing a field. The Ministry of Health of Andalusia reported on Monday that on Saturday this man was treated after fading in the field, and specified that he suffered from previous pathologies.

Already senseless, the farmer was taken around 13:00 p.m. by his children to the local health center, where he entered with a fever of about 41 degrees, according to municipal sources. Finally, the man could not be resuscitated, died in the health center and on Sunday was cremated.
