The bulk of nuclear weapons in Belarus

Regarding Russia's Putin administration's intention to deploy tactical nuclear weapons against its ally neighboring Belarus, Belarus' state news agency reported on the 27th that President Lukashenko said, "Most of the nuclear weapons were brought to Belarus."

"Poland and other countries think that Wagener will protect nuclear weapons, but nuclear weapons will not be protected by Wagener, this is our mission," he said, stressing that even if the Russian private military company Wagener operates in Belarus, it will not be tasked with defending nuclear weapons.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on the 16th of this month that "the first tactical nuclear weapons have been delivered to Belarusian territory" and clarified that the delivery of tactical nuclear weapons has already begun, further strengthening his restraint on the Western side.

President of Poland "very bad sign"

President Duda of Poland, Belarus' neighbor, said on May 27 that if Prigozhin, the head of the Russian private military company Wagener, and his troops moved to Belarus, "it would be a de facto transfer of Russian troops," and expressed concern that it would pose a security threat, saying that it would be "a very bad sign for us."

On top of that, he indicated that Poland would convey its concerns to other member countries of NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organization, of which Poland is a member, and urged that the defense capabilities of Eastern Europe and the three Baltic countries, which are close to Russia, should be strengthened urgently.
