Shenyang, June 6 (Reporter Gong Xu) The fourth (9) Northeast Revitalization and Northeast Asia Regional Cooperation Academic Forum and the first Shenyang Modern Metropolitan Area Development Forum were held in Shenyang on the 2023th.
Hosted by Liaoning Federation of Social Sciences and Shanghai Federation of Social Sciences, and organized by Shenyang Federation of Social Sciences and Shenyang Modern Metropolitan Area Cooperation and Development Joint Conference Office, the forum aims to base on the new development stage, fully and accurately implement the new development concept, build a new development pattern, and strive to provide intellectual support for accelerating the construction of Shenyang's modern metropolitan area and building an important growth pole for the revitalization of Northeast China.
At the opening ceremony, Liu Zhuangye, deputy minister in charge of daily work of the propaganda department of the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee, Ren Xiaowen, member of the party group and vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Social Sciences, and Shi Jian, secretary of the party group and chairman of the Liaoning Provincial Union of Social Sciences, delivered speeches and speeches successively. More than 150 people attended the meeting, including relevant leaders of the main and organizers, responsible comrades of relevant departments directly under the province, relevant leaders of member units of the Shenyang Modern Metropolitan Area Cooperation and Development Joint Conference, main responsible persons of various municipal social science federations, responsible comrades of departments and representatives of experts and scholars in related fields. Qi Haitao, secretary of the party group and chairman of Shenyang Social Science Union, presided over the opening ceremony.
Liang Qidong, Vice President of Liaoning Academy of Social Sciences, presided over the keynote report stage of the conference, Ning Yuemin, tenured professor of East China Normal University and founding director of the China Modern City Research Center, a key research base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, Zhang Huiming, professor of the School of Economics of Fudan University and deputy dean of the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute of Fudan University, respectively presented the speeches on "The Construction of China's Urban Agglomeration, Metropolitan Area and Shenyang Central City", "Expanding the Connotation of "Urban Renewal" and Promoting the High-quality Economic Development of Metropolitan Areas", The experience of domestic metropolitan area construction under the new development pattern and the enlightenment to the construction of Shenyang metropolitan area", "The evolution and thinking of urban agglomerations and metropolitan areas in the Greater Bay Area", and "Strategic thinking on coordinated regional development and high-quality economic development in Northeast China" were based on the actual conditions of Northeast China, and heated discussions and exchanges were carried out.
The successful holding of this forum has created a good opportunity to enhance Shenyang's radiation driving force, promote the coordinated development of regional economy, and realize the revitalization of the old industrial bases in Northeast China and Liaoning.
