He unveiled his preliminary list of 26 players for the preparation for the World Cup (July 20 - August 20), with Amandine Henry but without Kheira Hamraoui, a "sporting decision".
. The return of Amandine Henry
Hervé Renard: "It was one of my first intentions. Then came a knee injury that prevented him from doing the internship with us. I asked him to come to Clermont (editor's note: against Colombia in April), it was a message sent. Know that in her little problem with OL - now resolved - we have endeavoured to accompany her in a very very continuous way, so that she is fit for this preparation (she had put herself on sick leave before joining her new club Angel City, Editor's note)."
. Kadidiatou Diani, "no problem" for the World Cup
On Diani, who has been injured in a shoulder since the end of March: "She communicated herself, she resumed the race last week. There is a little time left, she will have a personalized program. Kadi she will not have a stop, a cut, which will allow her to recover, I think there will be no problem."
. Baltimore, Hamraoui, the absentees...
On Sandy Baltimore, not retained, "I weighed the pros and cons, the different qualities they had. It's always good to bring a new dynamism (...) I'm not going to comment on his season, I've only seen the end of the season. I've seen a lot of PSG matches, there are other players who have seemed more suitable to me to be part of this list."
On Kheira Hamraoui, not retained: "Kheira I told her that the decision was sporting, it was 100% on my part, you must know that there is never anyone who has spoken to me about anything (she has cold relations with some teammates, Editor's note). I decided in my soul and conscience. Are players able to compete and stay on the bench?"
"I always say that the last three/four positions are played at very little. I think I'm making the right choice while thinking about those who are not in this list, they are sporting choices, it's not against them. But a list is always able to change, they have to be ready, even 24 hours before the (first) game."
. Tactics unchanged despite injuries
"There is not much that will change: the absence of Delphine (Cascarino, injured) is a huge lack for this team of France, a player who has been of a very high level, and important in the group. You have to find something extra to make up for these absences, sometimes you have to go and look for something else."
. Feller, Becho: two young people in front with Le Sommer
"As for Vicki Becho and Naomie Feller, I followed them closely. These two young girls must bring us their enthusiasm and versatility, they can evolve in all three offensive positions."
"When I look at the list, I have six strikers and six who can play in the axis and they are able to play on the sides. When we have Kadi Diani who is able to score so many goals and when we have Eugenie Le Sommer, which is best in a box today, we have everything to achieve the objectives we have set ourselves, the semi-finals."
. Players at the end of their contract
"It would be nice if the contractual situations were restored as soon as possible. This transfer window is long, the end of the contract is set for June 30, they will have to find a base for July 1, I hope it will not disrupt their preparation."
