According to the newspaper, Athens and Budapest are now demanding the exclusion of their companies from the list of "war sponsors" that Kyiv is replenishing.

It is alleged that Hungary and Greece intervened in the work to agree on an anti-Russian package of sanctions.

According to politicians from these two countries, the approval of sanctions depends on the resolution of the complex issue with the Ukrainian list, in which Kiev officials included a number of European companies.

"Hungary and Greece are using the sanctions package as political leverage to remove their companies from the list of Ukraine," the authors write.

It is noted that this position caused tension at a meeting of EU foreign ministers at the beginning of the week. In particular, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock expressed her dissatisfaction.

The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, promised to deal with the problem and resolve disagreements over the "Ukrainian list", sources said.
