In Väggaskolan's restaurant kitchen, the chefs of the future competed for seats in the finals of Blekinge's young master chef. The menu included biscuits, herring, fried chicken and home cooking with a twist.

It is now clear that it will be students from both Karlskrona and Karlshamn who compete when the final winner will be crowned at Smakfesten during the Baltic Sea Festival in Karlshamn week 29.

Many competed with fish

Daniel Waldestam, Fabian Ståhl and Amanda Bäckås went on to graduate from Vägga upper secondary school. Karlskrona will be represented by Alexander Krona, who is in his first year at the Baltic Sea School's restaurant school.

"Everyone competed with fish except me. I wanted to do something more unique with Swedish ingredients and made a different taco that is delicious, says Alexander Krona.
