"Hangars with weapons and ammunition were hit": the Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike on targets at the Dnipro airfield

On the night of May 22, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with high-precision long-range air-launched weapons at targets at the Dnipro airfield. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The goal of the strike has been achieved. All designated objects have been destroyed. As a result of the strike, hangars with weapons and ammunition, aviation equipment, as well as the technical position of the preparation of missiles were hit, "said Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov.

On May 19, high-precision long-range sea-based weapons were struck at deployment points and training centers for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as foreign-made ammunition depots, weapons and equipment.

The situation in the NWO zone

In the Kupyansk direction, the actions of three Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups were suppressed. Air strikes, artillery fire and active operations destroyed up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, two vehicles, as well as a D-30 howitzer and an ammunition depot of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade.

In the Krasnoliman direction, operational-tactical and army aviation, artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems of the Center group of forces destroyed up to 55 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, as well as Msta-B and D-30 howitzers.

In the Donetsk sector, as a result of active actions of units of the Southern Group of Forces, air strikes and artillery fire, up to 270 Ukrainian servicemen, four armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, one D-20 howitzer and two D-30 howitzers were eliminated.

In the South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the actions of the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group were suppressed. As a result of air strikes and artillery fire of the Vostok group of troops, the enemy's losses amounted to more than 150 Ukrainian servicemen, two pickup trucks, as well as two D-30 howitzers. In addition, an ammunition depot of the 65th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Orekhov area was destroyed.

In the Kherson direction, an ammunition depot of the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade was destroyed. More than 20 Ukrainian servicemen, four vehicles, one Hyacinth-B cannon, as well as an Msta-B howitzer were also destroyed.

During the day, operational-tactical and army aviation, artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit 98 artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 107 districts.

Air defense systems shot down a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force near the village of Lozovoe (DPR), intercepted five HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, and destroyed 17 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.

Artyomovsk

RT war correspondent Murad Gazdiyev visited the liberated Artyomovsk. He showed what the Gnezdo and Domino microdistricts look like now, where the last fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were located.

Earlier, the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, said that the procedure for demining territories had begun in Artyomovsk.

On the night of May 21, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that as a result of the offensive actions of the Wagner assault detachments, with the support of artillery and aviation of the Southern Group of Forces, the liberation of Artyomovsk was completed. As Vladimir Putin emphasized, all those who distinguished themselves during this operation will be presented with state awards.

It should be noted that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting with the head of the White House, Joe Biden, on the sidelines of the G7 summit, did not confirm the fact of the capture of the city by Russian forces. He even made a statement that the Ukrainian servicemen still remain in Artyomovsk and allegedly "perform a very important task."

"Technically, they [the Ukrainian military] are - these are the remnants that were abandoned during the retreat, small groups without walkie-talkies, without supplies, without ammunition, who are hiding in apartments.
